I am so thrilled to share with you all my newest offering called ‘The Spirit of Mama Afrika: Calabash Drum, Chant & Dance’.

This is a 3 days workshop where we will be connecting with all the elements that makes African music what it is. In West Africa, music is known to be the ancient way to connect and co-create with Spirit through connecting with the beat of the rhythms, the soul of the voice and liberation of the body.

On this 3 days, I will be taking you on a soulful and deep journey to connecting with the Spirit of Mama Afrika.

What is a calabash drum?
It is one of the very first instruments from Africa, it is literally a dried vegetable cut in half, a family of the pumpkin. Calabash drums will be provided in the workshop.
